Donald Sumpter

Donald Sumpter was born in 1943 in Northamptonshire, England. In a long and illustrious career stretching back to the mid-1960s, Donald’s many television credits include Game of Thrones, Into the Storm and Einstein and Eddington, two series of Being Human, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, Doctor Who, The Buddha of Suburbia, Poirot - The ABC Murders, The Blackheath Poisonings and Our Friends in the North as well as adaptations of Dickens’ novels Bleak House, Great Expectations and Nicholas Nickleby. Sumpter's film credentials include London Boulevard, Eastern Promises, The Constant Gardener, Enigma and the lead role of serial killer Donald Neilsen in The Black Panther.
